Blowing Rock Properties
Sometimes in this online, virtual world we live in, it can be hard to know who you are really dealing with in a business transaction. Blowing Rock Properties, Inc. has been in business on Main Street in the village of Blowing Rock since 1991. Christine Galke, our office manager, grew up in Blowing Rock, and Gail Smart, our owner, has been here since 1970. Our combined property management experience is over 25 years and we genuinely enjoy matching guests to just the right cabin and sharing our knowledge of the beautiful NC High Country with them.
Blowing Rock & Beyond...
While Blowing Rock is well known for its quaint downtown with upscale dining and shopping (you can stay in one of our charming downtown apartments and walk to everything!), it is also a pedestrian’s delight with a park in the center of town, Broyhill Park and pond, and the more challenging Glen Burney Trail just steps from Main Street. The wonderful trails at Bass Lake and Cone Manor are accessed at the edge of town and a bit farther but still close is Trout Lake.
From zip-lining to caving, river rafting to snow skiing, the High Country offers plenty of opportunities for the active traveler. The scenic Blue Ridge Parkway features vistas galore with plenty of overlooks to stop and savor the scenery and discover your own favorite spots.

For our guests, we continuously strive to enhance our guests’ experiences and provide top quality vacation homes and cabins in a variety of special settings. We travel ourselves, and know that sometimes you just don’t know the right questions to ask (ask Gail about those chickens in Tahiti) so we try to provide as much information as possible regarding our rentals and even our weather!
